Wire Rommel G. Tuazon is a Filipino avant-garde visual artist and an active curator-organizer. He is currently the president of the art movement Neo-Angono Artists Collective. He is also the founder of “Surrounded by Water” an art group and alternative art space, active from 1998-2004.
Tuazon earned his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, major in painting, from the University of the Philippines-Diliman in 1999. He has exhibited and performed extensively, with over a dozen solo shows and participating in various group exhibits and performances locally and internationally- including Spain, New York, Australia, Singapore, Japan, and Korea among others. In 2001, he won a residency grant in Ashiya City Museum of Art and History sponsored by the Japan Foundation Asia Center. He is one of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Thirteen Artists Awardee in 2013.
